Stayin' warm and toasty

One of the many loads we have been getting.
I love being able to stack wood all around our porch it make it so easy to use.

So lately every chance we get we have been getting firewood for this coming winter. I love going and hearing' the chainsaw cut down large trees. It has actually been a really good activity for us as a family to do. Zeke is usually the chainsaw operator and I get to gather the wood and then stack it in the sheds and on the porch. Koriann doesn't know what to think of the chainsaw, we have head gear for her and she still just looks at it really funny so me and her stay far away while daddy is cutting.

My Baby's 1st Birthday

WOW my baby is one today. Where has the time gone. We have had the funnest weekend with her. On Thursday morning we left to head to Fairview. Koriann was so excited to see her grandma and grandpa. But I really think she was most excited to see Icarus the dog. On friday Zeke and my mom couldn't contain there excitment and started giving Koriann her gifts. Her first one was a little people push-n-walk train toy. She went nuts, she loved it instantly. Oh, Zeke an I also got are hair cut, I cut 13 inches off of mine and donated it too Locks of Love. Then Koriann stayed with grandma for the day and Zeke and I went to get a new chainsaw, Zeke loves his new toy. Later that night we went to Orem to see a friend of Zeke's, he hadn't seen Kirby for almost 7 years and thay have stay really close. It was a great time, Zeke really had fun catching up on the old times with Kirby. We were really glad to get home that night and see our little girl, that is hte longest time I have ever spent away from her. Then came the big day!! We went to the zoo on Saturday. It was a blast. Zeke has never been to a zoo so he really enjoyed seeing all the animals. Koriann would get all excited and scream and squeal. It was so cute. I think her favorite though was the turtles, she would just laugh and giggle at them. I thought the baby elephant was the best, she was so cute. It was a fun family birthday. I hope Koriann had a great day. Later that night we had cake and ice cream, it was hilarious. The cake was a zoo cake, my mom's friend made it. It turned out so cute. Koriann was a little nervous at first but finally figured out that she could eat the cake. Thanks to everyone for all the great gifts, Koriann is so spoiled, but we still love her more than anything in the world.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE GIRL

Trip Home to Ibapah

So we are going to do pictures first because I'm in a hurry These are the Deep Creek mountains in Ibapah
Our cool old tractor that just got restored and painted

Koriann loves Icarus, she follows him everywhere. He is so good with kids he just takes it no matter what

This is grandmas swing, pretty cool huh with the wagon wheels

Koriann's new thing is climbing in the dishwasher when I'm unloading it.

So for the past 2 weeks Koriann and I have been out in Ibapah on the ranch. My grandma had surgery and so we took her home after it was over to help her recover. It was a lot of fun to be back home on the ranch. Zeke even came up for a few days over Labor Day weekend. On Sunday my cousin Clint T bucked out a few off his bulls. It was going all good until my friend Nathan decided to do something so stupid. I see if I can get some pics from my cousin of it, but anyway Nathan decides to put a saddle on a bull and try to ride it. Honestly how could you expect this to turn out well. Nathen ended up in the Murry trama center with a punctured lung and broken ribs. But luckily he will recover just fine. Zeke and him now have a lot in common what with Zeke's collasped lung and all. So other than that me and Koriann just took care of grandma and helped Bart when we could. I think Koriann favorite part was riding in the tractor. Koriann also got to play with her 3 little cousins, they are all about the same age. They had alot of fun together. Here's some pics of the ranch and Koriann doing random things.

This past saturday we went up to Pine Flat and branded some calves. It was alot of fun but also alot of work. Zeke left at 4am to get started with Alan and Tom, but Koriann and I didn't get up there until about 10am, because they had to gather the cows first so that took some time. Thank heavens that Mike and Joan Wilcox along with Luis showed up to help rope or it would have just been Zeke roping because know one else on Redd Ranches knows how to. But it was a way fun day for everyone who helped. Then on Monday we went and played like tourists in Moab. It was great, we went shopping, for a scenic drive, to the park, lunch, and we even went bowling. I forgot my camera so no pics of Monday but it was great. Koriann loved the slides and swings. When we were bowling, she would get so excited when the pins would get knocked over, she didn't even cry at all that day. I was fun to just hang out as a family and not have to worry about work. Here's some pics of branding. Luis is one of the best ropers in the area, I have know idea how he caught some of those calves
Koriann and mommy, she was mad because she had to get off the horse

Zeke holdin' one off the calves, doesn't he look good!

My very own sexy cowboy!!!

Good lookin' man and his horse, it was perfect weather with the overcast sky.
